MISE-EN-SCENE
Lighting:
Typically in horror films dark and low key lighting is used to create a spooky atmosphere. For our film we want to use ambient and low key lighting to make it atmospheric. Mostly we will be using natural lighting but we will be using low key lighting for some of the later scenes that are filmed in dark rooms. The main character will be using a torch throughout some of the darker scenes because otherwise it would be too grainy and unclear.

Costume:
For the main characters costume we want to use very casual clothing that won't distract the audience from the plot. As well as this we want the clothes to be practical and warm because it is set in a cold place and will be filmed in the winter months. The costume will probably consist of items of clothing such as a hoodie, a coat ,jeans and boots/trainers and they will all be in fairly dull colours to fit with the theme and not be distracting.
